Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make Chris R Rand, O.D. the leading provider of vision care products and services in Groesbeck.

Dr. Chris R. Rand, O.D.

Dr. Chris Rand has been part of the Groesbeck community his entire life graduating in 1990 from Groesbeck High School. Four years later, he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Texas A&M University. In 2000, he graduated with his Doctorate Degree from Nova Southeastern College of Optometry in Davie, Florida. Dr. Rand is married to his wife, Deana who has been teaching for GISD for 19 years. She is currently a Director in the administration department with GISD. Their children, Dylan graduated from Groesbeck ISD in 2019 and is currently attending Texas A&M University, while Carley currently is in high school in Groesbeck.  Dr. Rand has dedicated himself to helping the local community, such as serving for 10 years on the School Board, several years on the board of the Groesbeck Athletic Booster Club, a Lion Club member, President of the local Youth Baseball organization, a board member with the local Little Dribblers, and a Deacon in his local church. Dr. Rand is a therapeutic optometrist and certified glaucoma specialist. Dr. Rand opened Shiller Vision in Waco with Dr. Alan Shiller in 2001 and since then has co-managed almost 6000 LASIK procedures and 1000 cataract procedures. He opened a clinic in Groesbeck in 2009 to offer comprehensive eye care to his home town.
